ok i recieved a pair of those tiny hearing aids covered by my medicare thing and i had them for about a month or so but i lost one… i usually wear 1 at times anyways but im afraid if i go for a checkup they will ask my parents where is the other 1 and if its lost theyll have to make a new one. so my question is if i do have to get a new 1 will it be covered again or will my parents have to pay? i am 15

I lost my hearing aid a few weeks ago… I left both on a shelf and the next day I looked up and one was gone. I’ve searched the entire area and cannot find it. What could possibly have happened to it?

hi, i have had hearing loss in my left ear since i was a young child. i used to live in an orphanage in Romania and had many bad ear infections that werent able to be treated. which left me with hearing loss in my left ear. i dont know how bad it is though. in class i always have to ask to be sat in the front since if im not in the front i cannot hear the teacher very good. also just in normal conversations with people i only hear bits of the conversation, especially if there is background noise. but even if there is not any background noise i will still have to ask the person to repeat and i will get closer to them. a teacher will call my name in class and i sometimes wont hear them, sometimes it is hard for me to learn and listen to the teacher since i cant hear them that well. should i go see an ear doctor is this problem nothing to worry about. also do you think they would reccomend me to have an hearing aid or not..when the school nurse did a test they didnt say anything to me but i couldnt hear some of the beebs. what should i do, its even best if your like a doctor or somthing. thanks

I cannot even hear my watch beep. I can’t hear a cricket chirp. I have so much loss that a hearing aid can’t even amplify enough sound for me to hear it. Once its loud enough for me to hear it, I only hear it about 2 inches away and everyone else hears it way off about several yards away. The doctor won’t do cochlear implant surgery on me because he doesn’t care. Any help???
