Woke up today with hearing loss in left ear . Went to the doctor . He said I had an ear infection in the left ear with white powdery material on the eardrum . He put me on the antibiotic zithromax oral. Will the hearing get better and how long does it take . I am 47 and this is my first ear infection . It hummms and thumps at times

Okay having a wierd problem here, Right ear some discomfort not too much, but am having a wierd thing like some tones or sounds are funny to me. Like someone is talking through a metal pipe or like a kids toy train whistle…It is so hard to explain! I am not feeling dizzy, I do have a slight headache but not much. I have had a cold in the past few weeks. I am not sure if it is due to that, sinus, or if I should have a hearing test! I do have a history of family members who wear hearing aids, but this has just developed in the past two days. Anyone ever have this odd sound, or know anyone like that? I mean it is so strange I was whistling to some music and it sounded like a toy train whistle! The phone when I push the buttons they sound distorted and some tones of peoples voices sound funny!

I get ear, nose and throat infections once every 3 months. Is this something that could lead to something serious in the long run and could this lead to hearing loss?

I got tooth infection because of a wistom tooth, and my ear ringing all the time, feel pressure in my ear and got headache too. My dentist suggest me to take out the wistom teeth since he think it cause my ear ringing and headache. anybody had the same experience? does the ear problem goes away after the teeth took out?
