WHAT??? WHAT? I CAN’T HEAR YOU!

Starkey is one of the largest hearing aid companies in the world. I’ve been dispensing their products since 1994, and I am more impressed with them than any other brand.
The comment that the ones they give away are unreliable is ridiculous. They have a charity wing that gives away hearing aids to impoverished people around the world. Many of these aids are pre-owned, donated and are not even made by Starkey. They have given away 200,000 hearing aids since 2000. It seems pretty silly to be criticizing them for their charity work.
Check out their new nFusion technology, it is really something.

without seeing your audiogram, I can’t tell you exact models, but I can tell you who the more reputable manufacturers are. Check out Phonak, Widex, GN ReSound and Oticon. If you go to their sites you can find professionals near you who carry them. Each manufacturer offers a complete line of styles, prices, and technologies. My advice is to get the best you can afford if performance in background noise is important to you. In addition, make sure you are going to an audiologist not a “hearing aid store”. (Look in your yellow pages under audiologist or ask your doctor who he/she recommends).
