nothing in my life or daily routine has changed, nothing noise-wise…and suddenly within the last two weeks my ears won’t stop ringing. the only thing i can think of is this thing i got to plug into the wall to drive mice away…it emits a high frequency noise that only mice are supposed to hear..is it possible that this has affected me? it says safe to use around humans and pets. i unplugged it, but ears still ring.

Like you hear it with bird flu, mad cow, and Ebola… “If this disease mutates the results could be catastrophic!”, all the mean while AIDS is more then catastrophic and is just as able to mutate… WTF?

Okay I am an audiologist and I have never heard of a hearing aid being $8500. There are many options out there and that would be on the VERY high end of the price spectrum. If fact I would expect you could get a pair of hearing aids and an FM system for that much money. Our most expensive aids are $6500 for pair that is $2k cheaper for very good aids. Our least expensive aids are $3000 for pair. Also those people at sears are likely hearing instrument specialists and altho there are many good ones out there it is usually best to see an audiologist who has more training and education on hearing loss.

Because people don’t think with their eyes, but they do hear with their ears.
