if yes, how did you felt about it and what were your experiences and what degree of loss does your child has? i have a 2 month olg baby girl with hearing loss.

I do teach kids in math (mainly grade 1′s & grade 5′s)
We have jsut started a new term & a new year. THis year in the new grade 5 class that i have I do have one boy who is hearing impaired. He does lip read but looses interest quite quick. I have to generelly go at a slower place because of him. His hearing aid is coming this week.
I have explained to everyone in the class that he is hearing impaired & they all understand & all have accepted it & him as an individual.
How do I go about with him in my class?? He sits infront & talk sometimes mainly to him so he does not get lost. I am really confused as to what to do with him & how to do it

Why ask if a child wears a hearing aid ? Does it bother you to see any child or any adult wearing the hearing aid? I am a deaf person and not a child. Over 40′s. I don’t like to wear a hearing aid and I have stopped wearing it for 20 years since I finished with College. Because it only helped me 10 percent, which was not much. I realized it was not me to trying to pretend that I can hear lots of things since I have the profound(severe) deafness. It is just nice if the hearing aid can help the child to hear even more if the child happen to have more hearings than I had been as a child.
