For an adult, can any venereal diseases/STDs cause hearing loss/ringing in ears?

I have hearing loss, not enough to be deaf but enough to affect my daily life. As a teenager, people wouldn’t normally attribute hearing loss to someone so young. I’m often considered ditzy and ignorant but really, I just have a hearing loss. I’m constantly nervous and embarassed about whether I’ll miss something or can’t hear someone after they repeat it 4 times. I’ve gone to the doctor and I get regular check-ups to make sure it doesn’t get worse. The type ofloss I have doesn’t work with hearing aids. There’s nothing I can do.
College is coming up and I’m scared to meet new people with my problem. How do I build confidence and reply to the people who are really the ignorant ones? It’s so tough dealing with this…please help.

My boyfriend has to wear a hearing aid in his left ear. He has to take an annual hearing test for work but someone told us that wearing the hearing aid while he takes his hearing test (the pure tone test) will cause feedback. Does anyone know if this is true?
It is a custom mold hearing aid that you can barely see in his ear if that helps anyone answer this question. (Not the over the ear kind)
And please dont say, “Just have him take the hearing aid out for the test.” That is not an option right now. He has to be able to hear for his job and we do not want them to know he has a hearing aid in one ear.

I had a midwife today tell me that you shouldn’t have more than 2 ultrasounds in your pregnancy as it can cause potential hearing loss to the baby. Is this so? She said it was state law, like you’d have to sign a waiver if you have more than 2 the ENTIRE pregnancy.
What about dopplers, do they cause any hearing trouble?
