When selecting a hearing aid look at your lifestyle and needs, your ability to operate one (eyesight and dexterity).
You will also need to determine your costs and affordability.
They professional should be selecting a efficient device to fit your hearing loss, warranty program and after sale costs for service and return policy. All hearing aids can be return within 30 days if not satisfied see if there is a cost to return some charge some not.
The big multi-store vendors really might not be the best since your hearing loss is personal so select a professional that is knowledgeable and cares. There are a number of hearing aids out and the most expensive and least expensive can be the right one for your needs, loss and pocket book.
Have the professional explain why they select one versus the other and make sure they FIT you right, that is the difference between a successful happy hearing aid user and not ,it has nothing to do with the hearing aid.

I have had tinniutus since leaving the military service in the late 60′s. It continues to get louder and louder – Hearing aids do not help me filter out the noise. It some times is so loud that other people can put their ear to my ear and here it. Any Ideas? RING my bell please.

I have been re-tested today and told my hearing is almost flatlining (well certainly significantly dropped in capacity since I was last tested and my current hearing aids are turned up to full capacity). I am being referred to a Cochlear Implant Clinic and just wanted to find out from any current wearers just how “totally hot and awesome” they really are.

I have an elderly friend that has recently been offered a hearing aid that costs $6,000! I was like, unreal! Ok, so this is it…it seems she has a special condition with her ears, from what I understand she has tinnitus. Her doctor referred her to someone and has let her try out the new hearing aid, and said she has one week and then has to return it. My question is…
Can anyone tell me of some hearing aids that anyone in your family is familiar with and which ones are the best?
I usually do my own research, but have become quite busy here lately. I really appreciate any and all feedback about the costs and effectiveness of hearing aids. I really would like to find one that she can afford and be effective for her to hear what she is missing out on.
I would really appreciate some insightful responses.
