		<description>the ear canal does grow as we age, and yes it would have to be replaced often.. have you ever thought about the ones that just fit outside the ear, but not around the back of the ear as well? 
What exactly is causing his hearing loss, i&#039;ve heard of something else if it has to do with the ossicles in his ear not being formed correctly or else the cochlea not functioning correctly as well.</description>

See that link.  It says that the canal aids are customized to fit each different person... Does the ear canal grow at all as children grow up or is that something that stays the same?  If it would have to be replaced often, you may want to look at how much the actual cost of it would be before switching.</description>
