I know that audiologists and hearing aid dispenser’s can sell assistive listening devices, but are ALD sales limited to these licensed professionals or can any retail business sell ALDs?

ALDs are not regulated, and therefore can be sold by anyone. For example, Radio Shack has a special needs division, and there are several internet/catalogue based companies. People can research different products and shop around for price – that what I usually suggest to my patients.

It depends on where you live. My understanding is that you can sell any product as long as it is not called a hearing aid or hearing instrument. Local laws vary from state to state and country to country.
